I spent half of the day to make some color and anatomy studies.
I have a lot of work in the queue, but there are days when i feel the need to stop, take a breath and say "i have need to improve, this is no longer enough."
I have always been critical with myself, and, perhaps, this has allowed me to not feel myself unbeatable, and thinking, rather, how to try to improve every day. A few years ago my improvement was evolving, and very obvious. It 'a long time now that i'm feel, and i see myself, always the same. I need to be more clever than that, i need to create better art.
Today, after so many months, i resumed the study of color. I focused on the choice of color palette (searching for "original" colors as many images seen on the web) and colors technique.
I talked about this maybe last year, but i had decided to shelve the new technique, too slow.
This year i took the situation in hand, trying a new technique of color for me, with a custom brush, like a pantone or copic effect (used in the comic "Orphans" and in some Marvel comic).
In the attached image, you can see four different techniques:
-The first, with soft brush, is the one that always use.
-The second, was colored with my custom brush. This technique give to the image matter, looks almost hand-painted or colored with pantone, i like this so much..but ... is quite slow.
-The third is my usual flat color.
-The fourth is flat color with some shading effects made with my custom brush. This technique is often seen in the comics, especially those erotic / porn. I like it, but this may slow down my work.
But i admit that, in my opinion, a comic porn makes it has more less impact with only flat technique. A little soft touch sometime, softens the sexy figures.
In any case, i'm going to add the two new technical in commissions, so i can work and study these new color techniques. The prices will not change, but the timing might be a little longer. But if you ask me illustrations with these techniques, i shall be grateful, because it will help me to improve.
About my project Patreon, it decelerates further, indeed, is completely stopped. I have REALLY many, many works in the queue, and i think that will occupy my time until the end of year. I am very happy about this, but i really need to relax and to dedicate myself to my project, i consider it very important for my growth.
And i confess that i really want to make another porn parody about Spider-man ... the desire blast !!
For now I'll have to keep me in my cravings, and make happy the amazing people who contact me.
Ho dedicato metà di questa giornata allo studio del colore, e un poco di anatomia.
Ho tantissimo lavoro in coda, ma ci sono giorni in cui sento il bisogno di fermarmi, prendere respiro e dirmi "qui c'è bisogno di un upgrade, così non è più sufficiente".
Sono sempre stata critica con me stessa, e forse questo mi ha permesso di non sentirmi insuperabile, e di pensare, piuttosto, a come cercare di migliorare ogni giorno. Qualche anno fa il mio miglioramento era in continua evoluzione, e ben evidente. E' molto tempo ormai che mi sento, e mi vedo, sempre uguale. Ho bisogno di essere più brava di così, ho bisogno di creare arte migliore.
Oggi, dopo tanti mesi, ho ripreso lo studio del colore. Mi sono concentrata sulla scelta della palette colore (vorrei che risultasse più "originale" come molte immagini trovate sul web) e alla tecnica di colorazione.
Di questo ne avevo parlato forse lo scorso anno, ma avevo deciso di accantonare la nuova tecnica, troppo lenta.
Quest'anno ho ripreso in mano la situazione, tentando una tecnica di colore nuova per me, con un pennello personalizzato, simile a un effetto pantone o copic (utilizzato nel fumetto "Orfani" e in qualche fumetto Marvel).
Nell'immagine allegata, potete vedere quattro tecniche differenti:
-La prima, con il pennello morbido, è quella che utilizzo sempre.
-La seconda, è stata colorata con il mio pennello personalizzato. Questa tecnica da corpo all'immagine, sembra quasi dipinta a mano o appunto con il pantone, mi piace tantissimo..ma...la tecnica è abbastanza lenta.
-La terza è la mia solita colorazione piatta
-La quarta, è la colorazione piatta con alcuni effetti sfumati fatti con il mio pennello personalizzato.
Anche questa tecnica si vede spesso nei fumetti, specialmente quelli erotici/porno. Mi piace, ma anche questa potrebbe rallentare il mio lavoro. Ma ammetto che, a parer mio, un fumetto porno rende molto meno con una tecnica esclusivamente netta. Un tocco sfumato quà e là, ammorbidisce le figure.
In ogni caso, ho intenzione di aggiungere le due nuove tecniche nelle commissioni, così ho la possibilità di lavorare e di studiare queste nuove tecniche. I prezzi non avranno variazioni, ma i tempi potrebbero essere un poco più lunghi. Ma se mi chiederete illustrazioni con queste tecniche, ve ne sarò grata, perchè mi aiuterete a migliorare.
Per quanto riguarda il progetto Patreon, rallenta ancora, anzi, è completamente fermo. Ho VERAMENTE tanti, tantissimi lavori in coda, e penso che occuperanno il mio tempo fino a fine anno. Sono felicissima di questo, ma ho davvero bisogno di tranquillità e di dedicarmi al mio progetto, lo reputo davvero importante per la mia crescita.
E non nascondo che ho tanta voglia di realizzare un'altra parodia porno di Spider-man...scoppio dalla voglia!!
Per ora dovrò tenermi dentro le mie voglie, e far felici le persone fantastiche che mi contattano.
